Speaker: Damon Bridge, RSPB Conservation Officer Somerset Levels
“Conservation on the Somerset Levels and Moors – Addressing the Nature and Climate Emergency”
The talk will focus on the variety of work that the RSPB is involved in across the floodplains of the Somerset Levels and Moors, one of the RSPB’s 13 ‘Priority Landscapes’ in England. Topics will include water and land management; climate resilience; farming futures; peatland restoration and species recovery. Expect a whole heap of herons, a conglomeration of cranes and curlews and a smattering of snipe!
