We will walk from Portbury up through Prior’s Wood towards the Children’s Hospice. This is an ancient woodland best known for its bluebells (though we will be too late for their flowers) and we should hear and see a good selection of woodland and farmland bird species. Those with an interest in flowers and insects should also find plenty to occupy them.

Meet at 9.00am on the green in Portbury village. There should be plenty of on road parking on the High Street and Station Road. The woodland paths can be muddy if the weather as been wet. The Priory Hotel should be open for those who need refreshing when we return to the village!

It is helpful to let the leader know if you intend joining the walk.
