The University of Bristol Botanic Garden houses an impressive collection of native and
exotic plants. These plants create a habitat suitable for a wide range of invertebrates
including several rare and introduced species such as the millipede Cylindroiulus
truncorum and the shelled slug Testacella ‘tenuipenis’. The Garden is also home to
several heated greenhouses that are occupied by invertebrates that have been
accidentally introduced with the exotic plants. Entry will be free but a voluntary
donation to the Botanic Garden will be greatly accepted. We will be meeting at 10:30 at
the entrance just off Stoke Park Road (BS9 1JG).
