Meet in Portbury village on the village green (ST498752, BS20 7TJ, ///impressed.neck.cinemas) at 09.00. There should be plenty of on-road parking on Station Road and nearby streets.
We will walk up through the woods and along past the Children’s Hospice hoping to see and hear a good selection of woodland species. The woods are also of botanical interest, though the bluebells for which the site is noted will be well past flowering.
The terrain is hilly and some of the paths may be muddy if the weather has been wet. The Priory Inn is conveniently placed near the finish for those who would like to stay on for refreshments or lunch (pre-booking advisable for lunch).
