SPECIAL MEETING
This Victorian park may not be the most typical place for a bramble meeting, nor is a bramble meeting typical but the park’s connection with the Frome Valley and its Pennant Sandstone, along with a decent bird life, has allowed the development of an unusually rich bramble flora in a relatively small area. We will mostly be concentrating around the lake but also venturing along part of the River Frome and into the adjacent meadow and cemetery to tackle these cryptic pricklers head on!
Meet at the bottom entrance of the park at ST61227527, ///chefs.unwanted.exit. There is free parking in the nearby Tesco car park and you can make your way to the entrance through the underpass of Eastville Roundabout. Alternatively, there is also a small car park (also free) at the top of the park at the end of Park Ave, BS5 6QL at ST61917517, ///potato.rate.tins (also has a toilet).
