David has worked for the BTO for much of the last six years. His current role involves trying to encourage more people to take part in BTO and partnership surveys, plus assisting with the day to day running of the annual BTO/JNCC/RSPB Breeding Bird Survey.

Prior to working for the BTO, David spent around 12 years working for the RSPB, mainly at Lakenheath Fen. David is originally from Poole in Dorset and is an active birder in the Fens of East Anglia and Poole Harbour.‘
