This faded seaside resort has a good array of interesting plants within easy reach. Target species will be the Branched Horsetail Equisetum ramosissimum and Smooth Rupturewort Herniaria glabra in Ellenborough Park, and a search for Clustered Clover Trifolium glomeratum. On the Sea Lawns we should see Suffocated Clover Trifolium suffocatum, Woolly Clover Trifolium tomentosum and possibly Mossy Stonecrop Crassula tillaea and as well as lots of the non-native Bermuda-grass Cynodon dactylon. We may also come across Toothed Medick Medicago polymorpha and are sure to spot many other coastal plants too.
