LEIGH WOODS Anniversary Meeting. Leigh Woods is rich in invertebrate life and has long been popular with entomologists.The first ever field meeting of our Section (back then named the Insect Section) was held on 7 May 1866 at Leigh Woods. To celebrate this long history we will follow in the footsteps of the bug enthusiasts before us. Will we find the flea weevil Orchestes pilosus and the rove beetle Scaphidium quadrimaculatum again?

We will be meeting at the Leigh Woods entrance on North Road, ST55517301 BS8 3PL at 14:30
