The former golf course on Nore Road in Portishead was designated as a community open space three years ago and several measures have been taken to enhance biodiversity on the site. Some small-scale invertebrate surveys have already been conducted and these grassy areas right on the coast have already turned up some uncommon weevils and planthoppers. We are hoping to add to the site’s species list and hopefully contribute valuable data for the site’s management.
