We will visit some of the enclosures and hides around the Lake for which it is essential to have a permit (£7 for a day). This can be obtained either on the Website of Bristol Water Fisheries on the “Season permits and Fisheries” page, by telephone 01275 332339 or from Woodford Lodge on the day.
There should be a good selection of ducks, gulls, waders and passerines. CVL always turns up something surprising – on last year’s visit it was a couple of roosting Tawny Owls!
The meeting will end about 1pm.
Meet for a 10 a.m. start at Bristol Water’s Woodford Lodge (Grid Ref: ST565607, ///subjects.selling.deeds) which is located off the B3114 road between Chew Stoke and West Harptree on the left-hand side of the road after leaving Chew Stoke.
