Meet at 10:00 – at Beach Road, Severn Beach, (ST539852, BS35 4PE). NB – this is the northern part of Beach Road next to the park below the Sea Wall.
We will walk north along the sea wall towards New Passage and the Pilning Wetlands Looking for waders, ducks and migrant passerines. How far we travel will depend on the time spent looking at wildlife along the route and whether the access is open beyond New Passage. High tide will be at 11:51, so the waders and wildfowl should be close in. Anyone with a telescope will find them very useful.
The path is flat but could well be muddy if we can go beyond New Passage and is also exposed if the weather is inclement; appropriate footwear and clothing is advised. The meeting will end around 13:00.
